No, however it is encouraged. Renters insurance is a policy you can purchase to protect your personal property as the management/landlords are not responsible for replacement to tenants. Replacement of your belongings if they are damaged, lost, or stolen could be covered. The Collier Companies does not promote any specific insurance coverage.
When you sign a lease with Avenue 29 Apartments, you are given the option of an early lease termination. Each resident can choose to either pay a termination fee and provide a 60 day notice to vacate or to vacate early and continue paying rent on the apartment until such time it re-rents. Residents can also complete an assignment of the lease, which allows the resident to find a qualified renter to assume the remainder of the lease agreement. Once the assignee is found, both parties will work with the leasing team to complete the paperwork to turn over the lease to a new renter.
